Clone Golf Clubs : Are They Any Good?

Clone golf clubs include a variety of clubs for golfers after leaving the fairway. A golfer who leaves the fairway and ends up in a sand trap will find the perfect club for getting out of one of these traps effectively. These types of clubs for the average golfer will work just fine. Used clubs will also work fine. Clone golf clubs of your favorite brand name clubs play just like the real thing. In fact, all other things being equal, we would put our clubs up against any pro line club out there.

What is a clone golf club? Take the Nike clone golf club. Many golf club manufacturers that are in the business of making clones will take a brand name club like Nike and reverse engineer the club. This means that the clone golf club is taken apart and analyzed by engineers to find the materials and any special geometry that are being used. Once a base line is established for the clone golf club, the clone golf club manufacturer will very carefully, judiciously avoiding claims made by competing patents, make a “knockoff” or “clone” golf club that is based on the same or similar technology as our Nike. The benefit to the golfer is lower cost for the clone golf club without sacrificing performance.

Clone golf clubs are as every bit as good as brand name clubs. They are created by designers and manufacturers who have studied the most famous names in golf clubs to make sure that their designs are similar to the best clubs available. All clubs are available in every type of club that a golfer would take in the bag for a great score. Clone golf clubs are manufactured with high-quality components and usually are very close to being as good as name-brand golf equipment. While professionals might be able to tell a difference, most amateurs cannot.

Additionally, Clone golf clubs are available in every type of club that a golfer would take in the bag for a great score. Most of the time they can be obtained with a 30-day play guarantee. If you don’t like the clubs after playing them for 30-days, return them.

The advantages of buying and playing golf with these clubs make them a top choice among golfers. If you have been thinking about buying a new set of clubs, you should seriously consider looking into a set of clone golf clubs. , or someone you know is thinking about buying a new set of clubs, let them know about the option of getting a set of clone golf clubs.

Discount Golf Clubs

It is no secret that golf is an expensive game. Green fees, clubs, balls, clothes, and of course the 19th hole; they all add up to quite a lot of money if you are not careful. There are a lot of ways to make the game more affordable, and one of them is through discount golf clubs.

The first tip for reducing how much you spend on your golf clubs is to look for stores that specialize in discount sporting goods and golf equipment. These stores will usually have a warehouse feel to them, and they may require that you join their buying club. However, the discounts that you get on your equipment are well worth the extra paper work and the self-serve atmosphere most warehouse stores have.

The second way to find discount golf clubs is to visit an estate sale. Estate sales auction off items and you can usually get valuable pieces cheap. Some of the items that you can find at estate sales include irons, putters, drivers, woods, and antique golf sets.

Be informed. Make sure that before you go and grab those discount golf clubs, you are already armed with the essential information to avoid low-quality clubs. The Internet and golfing magazines offer information about the different types of golf clubs and explain their vitality to the game. Information on how to avoid imitation golf clubs is also available. You will find these very resources to be very helpful if you don’t want to buy a club that easily snaps and breaks.

There are many common misconceptions about wholesalers and discount pricing as well. Many people believe that the quality and durability of the product received from a wholesaler is not a good as golf clubs bought at a local retailer, which is not the case. The extra care taken when shipping guarantees that the golf clubs are of equal or even greater quality than those available in a department store. Also, as mentioned previously, many manufacturers supply wholesalers with their golf clubs, thus the items available are completely authentic and not clones or worthless knockoffs..

Golf Clubs : An Overview of Ping Golf Clubs

About five decades ago, an engineer named Karsten Solheim was playing golf. He was not very satisfied with his putting performance, so he tried creating a new putter. With his engineering background, he was soon able to put together a new putter that he found suitable. He tried it out on the ball, and the putt was perfect. As he hit the ball, the putter made a sound. Solheim did not know it yet, but he had just invented the great Ping golf club.

Ping golf clubs are now known around the world and are used by some of the top champions in golf today. Even though the first clubs were manufactured in his garage, he was a busy man when it came to making these clubs for people who requested them. Now located in Arizona, Ping golf clubs are a golfer?s delight. You hit the ball and get that crisp clear ping sound the lets you know you had a perfect hit.

Where did the name come from? The name PING comes from the pinging tones that you can hear when the PING golf club hits the golf ball. PING putters helped to dramatically alter the golf putter market with their heel-to-toe weighting design. Sports Illustrated magazine called the PING 1A putter, the musical putter from the sweet sound that it emitted.

Soon, Ping golf clubs were a regular fixture on the PGA tournaments. When the pro golfers toured in other countries, they brought along their different designs of Ping golf clubs and turned it into an international name.

In 1966, the USGA decided that nearly all of the PING putters were disallowed from tournament play. The only PING putter that would still be allowed for tournament play was the recently design Anser putter. The Anser would revolutionize the putter in golf. It had a cavity back and low center of gravity. It offered a superior feeling for golfers of all abilities. It set the mark for what is now considered the conventional putter. PING clubs have over 500 professional tournament victories to their name. The PING Anser putter has more tournament wins than any other.

Golf Accessories for the regular traveller

If you are traveling most of the time, you might feel that you are losing out on your favorite pastime, which is playing golf. It may not be such a problem after all, because if you plan to carry your golf set as part of your travel baggage, you can play the game anywhere you are.

It is necessary for you to make some changes if you intend carrying your golf stuff with you.

- It is not practical to carry the whole golf set with you wherever you go. Take the clubs which are the basic ones and put them in your golf bags in such a way, that you can find them easily. And foldable golf clubs are definitely recommendable, though they are not as good to use, but it is worth having some clubs with you than none at all.

- You just have to spend some money at one time and buy the special traveling golf bags which are covered with metal. They are expensive, but if you are looking at protecting your clubs from not being damaged by porters and airline staff, then you should not have a second thought about investing the money for the bags.

- Just as you label all your checked-in baggage with care, label every article which your golf bag contains and the bag itself. This will go a long way in helping you retrieve your baggage, if it gets misplaced or lost when you are traveling.

- Golf shippers like ShipGolf are extremely reliable for transporting your golf set, and you can be sure that everything will be delivered the following morning.

- Make a habit of carrying backup tees and balls, which you can use if your regular set is misplaced.

Golf Accessories Can be used to Improve Your Game

Golf pros use various methods to improve their style and method of the game. They are taught by highly-paid teachers, but even then they try to find out other tricks for improving themselves. Besides that they practice regularly and rigorously.

You must learn to make use of all the golf accessories in different ways, just as the professionals do. In this way your handicap will be reduced and your game will definitely improve.

Did you know that many golf pros attach golf weights to the ends of their clubs? Also, with the help of additional weights, they practice their slow swings. This has three important benefits -

Firstly, the practice with the additional weights enables the correct set of muscles to be developed for the golf pro.

Secondly, the extra weights help as a booster to their normal everyday training and motivate them to a large extent. Further, the pros feel so motivated by this exercise that they come for regular practice to the greens, never missing out a single day.

Third, the pros learn using the lighter clubs powerfully and accurately so that their long shots can go a good distance and also are more precise.

A small amount of money is often invested by golf pros in a putting green, which can be considered an important accessory. They can then practice there everyday and sometimes even twice a day.

The golf pros like using the same putter and the same balls which they use on the golfing green. This gives them better control of the game. They also learn by watching the putting and swinging actions of other pros.

The best way to learn to improve your swings is to watch some instructional videos and DVDs in which golf pros are performing master strokes. You can download some or just borrow and buy, whichever suits you. In this way you can better your swings and perform well in your competitions.

Scotty Cameron Detour Putter - The Best Of The Best?

Titleist brought the Scotty Cameron Detour putters to the golf world for the start of the 2007 and they offer new indicators and elements that help you line up your putting path with greater ease.

This putter, in my opinion, has a softer and solid feel to it than most putters I have tried (including the Laguna) and therefore provides silky and rock steady putt.

The Detour definately gives you a good putting path as well as coming armed with a bright orange headcover that you will find impossible to loose.

It really is a fantastic part of golfing science and metallurgy design which introduces the arc-shaped putting path into a mainstream putter.

With a stainless steel weight in the toe and one in the heel, the Detour has a high MOI in a fairly simple package. Scotty Cameron Detour and Detour 2 putters have an oversized T-bar shape, the Detour has single bend shaft and the Detour 2 has a straight shaft.

The arched body is milled from 6061 T6 aluminium and has milled body pockets to lighten the mid-section of the putter, the stainless steel back weight triangulates weight at the corners of the putter.

The putter has an mrp of around the $300 mark and comes in 3 standard sizes of 33, 34 and 35 inches.

My opinion of this putter is that it provides a very nice swing path that makes you feel in control the whole way through the stoke. The only way you will find out how good it is for you is to drive test one at your local retailer.
